Garden centers all over America provide many wonderful opportunities for us to attend classes and workshops about Fairy Gardens and Miniature Gardens. We can learn the fundamentals of Miniature Gardening, design basics, miniature plant and succulent care, and so much more.
I’m a believer that Fairies, Gardening and Kids just naturally go together. I’m not saying Miniature Gardening is not an adult hobby, because I’m completely obsessed and can’t get enough. However, building a little garden with my four-year-old granddaughter is a really special time for both of us.
All of that said, those of us in East Tennessee have a wonderful opportunity available to us. Right here in Knoxville, University of Tennessee Gardens offers some exceptional programs. Specifically, Garden Explorers: A Fairy and Gnome Adventure caught my eye! It’s a week long day camp for kids, and it sounds amazing!
Follow the link and check it out. Even if you don’t have children, click on “UT Gardens, Knoxville” on the upper left of the page and look around at all of the programs and workshops available for adults, too. Very impressive!
